Artisans sweet black treacle cured back bacon. We take Artisan own dry cured back bacon, bath it in a vat of sticky black treacle before being lightly smoked over wood chippings.
Our un-smoked back bacon is dry cured in house using the traditional ingredients and methods delivering a delicious lightly salted taste. Being dry cured not the commercial wet cured, it stops the water leakage on cooking.
All our pork is from our own land or from carefully selected Cheshire farmers
